Twitter charging for verified status (blue tick) - what it means for businesses?

Getting verified faster - In over past 10 years, it used to take few months to years to get the verified status on Twitter which used to be a struggle for large firms  leave alone the smaller firms. Now after  the introduction of chargeable Blue tick, businesses can get verified within days which is a win win situation for businesses of all sizes.

Preventing impersonalisation/ risk situations - As it is incredibly easy to create new accounts on Twitter, any person but malicious intent can impersonate anyone or any business and may tweet out something that impacts the reputation of the firm. By having the verified status early on helps in preventing such risk issues for the businesses which is of prime importance to any cyber security aware firm.
